Rotor crank set installation!

Hi guys just a quick question. When I was at a bike shop, the owner told me that my current bottom bracket (Chris King ThreadFit 24 Bottom Bracket w GXP Stepped Up Converter Kit) can’t be used to install rotor crank arms. Does it mean I need a new rotor bottom bracket with bottom bracket cups? A newbie here

The bottom bracket doesn't specifically need to be made by Rotor, but the GXP one won't fit any Rotor crankset, regardless of spindle size-- because the GXP has a 24mm ID bearing on one side and a 22mm on the other.

What bottom bracket you need depends on what bike you have, and which Rotor crankset you want to install.

Chris King makes high quality components. Without knowing what crankset your current bottom bracket is designed for it is not going to be possible to determine if it could be compatible with any Rotor crankset

You have answered your own question, why don't you trust that the LBS who deals with this sort of issue on a daily basis. If you don't trust them, find another LBS.

They use Markov chaining from multiple sources along with an artificial language filter to appear as a semi-literate human.

yeah sorry to sound so dumb. because what I saw online is the rotor track crankset only uses 2 cups and there was no inner sleeve. that is why I was curious why rotor track bottom bracket looks different the one I had which was the Chris king threaded 24
