Campy ten speed cassette on 11 speed wheel

I am trying to install a veloce campagnolo ten speed cassette on a new fulcrum 5 wheel. The last cog barely fits on but the lockring does screw on. Is this normal? Is there something wrong? It doesnt seem like it is a secure fit. Not that i plan on spending much time on the last cog as an out of shape 63 yr old cyclist .

Campagnolo uses the same freehub body for 9,10,11, and 12 speed cassettes. Fulcrum is a wheel brand made by Campagnolo

As long as the splines engage, it sounds normal. The lock ring should have several turns of engagement. If not, then something might be wrong. As noted, 9-12 speed cassettes all fit on the same spline length.

No that does not sound right. Do you have too many spacers on there?

Put the lockring on and put the bike on a stand of some kind so you can spin and shift. Align the derailleur with the smallest cog on the last click and remove cable slack, and then see if it shifts up OK within reason, meaning it doesn't glaringly skip a gear or get stuck somewhere. Use the Park Tool method to align if you wish a full presentation of how to do this. If all works OK you should be OK as long as the lockring is engaged. If it looks OK then fine tune using the Park method.
