every 6 hours of use is a lot of remembering to charge. i use my lights all the time because chicago is overcast and foggy with flash rains all summer apparently. yup, my taillight still died about 20 minutes after the headlight.
wish i would have got the specialized helmet with the light built in the back. like a reserve tank, but in case my taillight goes out. they sell that late replacement part. wonder if this can be inserted in my non led version of the same helmet?

Or, just get a second tail light to carry with you. I wear a second tail light on a velcro band around my left ankle - turn it on as a second tail light for high speed roads or if the bike-mounted tail light dies - the up/down motion of the blinking light is more noticeable than the stationary unit.
