new chain, I just realized, 2000 miles!!!
just got my Dahon folder back from the shop, and while it was there I realized I had put 2000 miles on it commuting. My favorite LBS (College Cyclery) got the business, and did a bang up job of a tune up. And I feel like i almost have a new bike.
AND I am SOOOOO glad to have my ride back, so I don't have to wait for the bus all the time.

What is all this excitement, Miss Jessica? That you replaced your chain after 2000 miles, or that you bicycled 2000 miles?
Whatever the reason, it is good to see you excited about bicycling and/or bicycle maintanance. Rock on!
If you want to have even more fun and be an even greater hipster, get a chain tool and learn to change a chain right at your own home (or on the side of the road). You will get a great sense of accomplishment and save some dough besides.
