Clive Stuart
Large, old Clive Stuart.
Frame and fork only.
<img src="https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/1652x929/clivestuart_75268cd6b7eae8e2ffc3b1afa57432d4bada19de.jpg"></img>
Top tube: 57.5 cm center to center
Seat tube: 61 cm center to top
Stand over: ~86.5 cm
Headtube: 17.5 cm end to end
Rear spacing: 120 mm
Front spacing: 100
Description: This is a classic from the late 1950s, early 1960s. The rear dropouts are stamped Stallard dropouts. The front fork ends came to me filed as they were for an older British Standard
The fork clears 35mm tires no problem. The chainstays do not clear 35s, but they could be indented pretty easily.
The paint is beaterish. A previous owner touched up the silver.
Good bones, but needs some love.
moved to ebay.
Frame and fork only.

the dropouts on the Coronet linked to above are usually referred to as "Stallard" for the framebuilder Percy Stallard who designed them

NB: This does not have a rear derailleur hanger. One came with the frameset that I can include. It is a standard claw with a bolt.

Disraeli Gears
Based on the drawing (as distinguished from the drewing), presumably by Mr Stallard, those bits are called 'prong'. It's a beautiful frame, and I'd buy it in a minute, except that it looks like the clearance between the chainstays would only allow about a 30 mm tire, and skinny tire days (or at least buying of such frames) are behind me. I really like the Stallard dropouts myself, and have a couple so equipped, though none with the 'prong'. The reason for the prong and the curious configuration of that dropout is found at Classic Lightweights:
Unless one has an Osgear drive train there's not much utility in the prongs, so maybe understandable why someone would remove them.

A smooth 32mm tire would clear without a lot of extra space. A 32mm with knobbies is a no-go. There is enough material in the stays to dent them outward to create additional space, possibly as much as 1 cm on each side ... so that's a lot.

Free bump for a frame with tons of class and some wonderful "beausage". Someone buy this and build up a fendered tan wall sporty rider.

One bump before going to the 'bay.
