Took acetaminophen before this morning's ride
Rode hard on a charity ride Sunday and took a break yesterday. Was still feeling a little sore when I woke up today, my 47 year old knees aren't what they used to be. On a whim I popped a generic brand Excedrin before I went out the door. Just one. About 15 minutes into the ride (35 mi) I felt like I blood doped or something, absolutely no fatigue at all. I can't remember when I rode so hard. Matter of fact, I'm not sure I ever rode like that before. With stop signs and everything I averaged 19.1, calm winds. My cruising speed was 22-24mph. I usually average 17.XXX solo, I can hit 18 solo when I feel motivated. Heck, I feel like going on another ride this afternoon.

Pre-century ride I typically take 400 Ibuprofen and 1000 acetaminophen and a 5 hr extra strength.
I didn't think Excedrin had Tylenol, I thought it had aspirin.

I prefer ibuprofen to acetaminophen, but otherwise I know what you are talking about.
For the casual athlete over ~30 years old, off-the-shelf analgesics are the most effective performance enhancing drugs.

I don't like acetaminophen, because it raises my liver enzymes. But it does work great in combination with ibuprophen. And they don't additively cause the same side effects so they can be safely taken together. Much like acetaminophen and aspirin in Excedrin but more effective I think.

It works in reverse for me. No matter how hard a ride or how long, if I remember to pop two 325 mg dose of aspirin right before bed, I always wake up feeling like superman. Nothing else but aspirin works like that for me.

lmao!!!
And, actually, in the running community this is pretty frowned upon (not that it isn't here) simply because as a high-impact sport, if you're using a pain killer to mask a pain you're having, your body can't accurately tell you if you need to take it easy to avoid creating a bigger problem.
I had a great spurt about a month ago where almost all my rides felt amazing. Now, the last few weeks, I feel less so. Not much has changed, but maybe I just need a little Excedrin.

Does the BF timestamp thing work? You posted today, 5/4 which is Monday. You rode on Sunday and took a break the day after (today?) and today (Tuesday which is tomorrow?) you took the banned substance?
