Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sure. Here is a pic of the bike I replaced with this, but the fenders are all from Mucky Nutz:

Thank you, Sir! An interesting solution indeed. So basically all you need to do is mount the downtube piece in a way so they don't rub on each other when the fork is turned. I'm curious, though, as to whether or not it provides better splash protection for the crankset than traditional, tire-hugging fenders.

It does not, but it weighs less and it is pretty close to, "quick-release," so I can very easily take them off and put them on without any tools, and they're soft material that flattens out so I can throw them in my backpack and take them with me when I don't need them/don't want them stolen, and they take almost no space. Also, I don't have to worry about someone else damaging them when they jam their rusty hoopty crap pile in a ham-fisted manner into the rack next to mine, because they're super flexy and thus extremely hard to actually break. They're pretty inexpensive, too! I have one of their rear fenders that attached to the saddle as well, just forgot to install for the pic.

Thank you. I'm still getting used to the light weight of the Trek. Feels unstable but fun at the same time. 10.65 pounds
