Some of the recent rides to make it into my Stable:
1994 Lemond GAN GLX:
This has a nice Campagnolo Racing T setup.
A custom Lemond, this is one of the handful of these made by Greg himself for friends and associates. They were The Gentleman's Poodle and Grouse Society and have since morphed into another racing time. This appears to be a 1999 Zurich with the custom paint and such.
Running Dura- Ace 9 speed.
A beautiful mid 90s Serotta CSI:
Campagnolo 8 Speed....right now.
Then there's this Jan De Reus I recently had rebuilt:
Shimano 600 Tricolor

2013 Trek Domane 6.9
I had a really bad accident last August and cracked the top tube of my bike. I've just gotten a 2013 Trek Domane 6.9 a few days ago and was finally able to take a short ride today. As weather permits, I hope to be doing a lot more of that in the future.

LOL thanks. I got in a wreck on another bike a week ago and when this one showed up I had to have an LBS put it together for me because I'm out of commission for a while, so they literally just slapped that seat on and didn't adjust it.. and I'm not sure why they threw those pedals on. I have a set of Dura-Ace SPD SL pedals I plan to put on when I'm able.

My Baby....Ritchey Logic-18 years old, thousands of miles and raced until 2005! Semi-retired now - weekend early am endurace rides only. 16 1/2 pounds, very easy to ride and comfortable.

I bought a litespeed vortex on ebay size 57cm. According to serial it is a 2003 model. This is what it looked like before I bought it. Many parts were still usable, and the 6500 shifters were still good, along withthe 6700 crankset, 6700 brakes, thompson seat post.
After various upgrades: same 6500 shifters just polished with fine grid sandpaper. Sold ksyrium sl wheelset too which pretty much paid for the superteam carbon ones.

Is that length of steerer tube safe? Looks like it is an alloy steerer, so I guess it is ok. Sure looks scary to me though.

...so after a lot of google searches can't really find anything concrete in this regard. Seems like for alloy it doesn't seem to matter too much, but for carbon 50mm-60mm of spacers on a carbon steerer tube is the max...some say 35-40mm as well. I can't find a concrete answer for an alloy steerer. So if a Carbon steerer is 60mm max, and I'm currently using 85mm of spacers...is that ok for an alloy steerer? Hmmmm...

Maybe you need a bigger frame?
Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about the amount of spacers on that steertube. As long as you know not to have a deathgrip on your handlebars, let your legs do all the work, you should be fine with those spacers.
But if the frame size is not proper fit for your height or reach, that's a totally different problem.
