Front End Collision? Pass?
Hey all,
Now I'm trying to get a bike to ride with the gf on Sundays and saw this bike. Does it look like the front fork is bent?

The fork may well be slightly bent. The head tube angle looks reasonable, and the bike will probably ride just fine.
That bike looks like it could use a good tune-up which won't be cheap (new hoods, new cables, etc).
Nonetheless, if it sells for < $5, it would be an excellent deal, and would make a good rider, or parts donor. Perhaps up to $30 to $50???

I with the it is bent crowd and my guess is that it won't track worth beans. I would pass unless I had a chance to inspect it and ride it, first.

the first pic kinda looks like maybe it's bent, but the pic from the other side it looks totally normal to me. definitely worth the two dollars

I don't think the fork or frame are actually bent but it has two different size wheels and tires a 27in with a fairly high profile tire on the front and a 700c with a fairly low profile tire on the rear causing a inch or more of difference front to rear. Still with the miss mosh of un-matching parts and rough shape I would pass.

Even looking at both sides, I still see fork misalignment, not only at the top of the fork(on the drive side), but also at the curves. Of course, my eyes are old and I could be wrong. It would be nice to see a direct head on shot, just to determine if the wheel rim/tire is centered between the fork blades.

Lol, she gets a brand new one. I'd rather buy a used one for myself since I'm not in a rush and can just ride on my road bike for the time being.
