Specialized closeout pricing
Anyone know where to locate when and which bikes specialized puts on closeout? I see a variety of prices online and my lbs said a few models just went on closeout, I'm specifically looking for the roubaix line. Curious if anyone knew, thanks.

Big companies like Specialized and Trek seem to release new models each year. So, you the year end closing deals will be coming out shortly. Talk to your LBS and keep a watch online.
When did the "Future Shock" come out? I'd imagine changes in the Roubaix will be minimal for next year unless there are some improvements in the Future Shock.

Could have had a deal on the 2017 Roubaix Expert but have a 2018 Red Roubaix Expert coming in. If you see a deal on a left over, most likely it will be gone if you blink twice.

Specialized (and Trek and Giant and ...) don't have closeout sales. They've already sold the bikes to local bike shops (LBS). The LBS doesn't want to carry inventory and pay interest on those bikes over the winter, so some of them may discount the bikes of which they have too many in stock. (After all, they want to have some in the store for Christmas!) So check the shops around you, if they have one your size available at a good enough discount, buy it and ride it.

I've been lucky on 2 Specialized buys. Got a 2002 Allez list price $899 for $399 when Performance was leaving as a Specialized dealer. Also found a $2100 Roubaix Elite, 150 triple for $1500 out the door, as a leftover year model. I just walked into the shops and there they were, but I don't know how to get advance notice, and these were LBS deals, not mfr.
