Campagnolo Bora One Carbon Clinchers Splitting Aluminium Nipples
Has anyone had the below problem as I have searched the internet and could not find any posts?
I have a set of Campagnolo Bora One Carbon Clinchers. This is the second set I have had as the first set was replaced under warranty with the same problem of the aluminium nipples splitting. The aluminium nipples have again developed splits in them on the replacement wheels. This time wheels are about 2 yrs and 3 months old so out of warranty. Has anybody ever had this problem. Thanks. Darren

No experience with the problem, but I know that a lot of wheelbuilders, pro and home-brew, don't like aluminum nipples because of failures like this. Since they're out of warranty, I'd seek out a local wheelbuilder and, if they think it's the appropriate course, have them rebuild with brass nipples.

Carbon and aluminum don't play nice together. The aluminum corrodes and fails unless the two materials are well isolated
