The Roughest finest or (Fuji help needed) perhaps I am way off.
I found what I thought was a 1975 Fuji Finest or America model rebadged as a G.Joannou. It's equipped with Fuji branded parts and what looks like a correct spec. Just now, I realized it has brake housing stops attached to the top and barcon cable stops on the DT. I followed the catalogs through the years till the parts spec changed and can't find that feature, only loops for full housing. The wheels may have been changed, the hubs are Normandy red and the rims are super champions
Let me know what you think. Thanks

Love those wrap around stays. Looks like a major oxalic project, and a repaint.

+1 on the project worthiness - but I don't think it is a Finest : (The elongated chromed lugs don't look at all like my '72). Don't know what it is though.

It seems to have no serial numbers. The chrome in the front is completely shot, the Suntour drops will clean up fine. I am going to try powdercoat and see how it goes. I tried Oxalic acid for the first time on my '30 Raleigh a couple of days ago. I was completely blown away by the results. I was a bit skeptical with some of the claims but it's even more impressive that the photos show.

I have it apart for cleanings and soaking so far. I found a good lead and am researching it further. One tip, not sure of it's validity, leads to Carlton in England. The bike weighed 24 lbs soaking wet and packed with 1/2 cup of wet sand.
