Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Elite Direto smart trainer constant beeping noise?

Caveat emptor,
Has anyone had any similar beeping noise issues with their Elite Direto smart trainer - as these Direto owners?
Mine does. If so, is there a work-around?

Is it changing difficulty when it beeps? That's what mine does. Normal. Though the video has more frequent changes than the norm. The dry chain noise bothered me more than the beeping in the clip. That said Elite does a very good job at responding to problem/questions.

It makes even louder noises than in the videos. Elite support reviewed the videos and replied that the constant, annoying, step-motor noise was "acceptable" in their opinion. It is due to their sourcing 2 different versions of those step-motors in their Direto production lines.

Can you get help from them as to where the 'speaker' sits that's emitting these beeps? Stick a bandaid or drip some rubber cement etc. over it..?
