If nobody at the bike shop has seen anything like it, and we haven't here either, then it's very probably something that you're doing that nobody else does. I still haven't heard HOW you're tearing your pants, so I'm starting to believe this is a troll thread.

No, not a troll thread, just have a very busy life. I don't know how the pants are ripping that's the reason I started this threat.

The clothes were from a bike shop and not cheap, They are not spandex, one is just a normal pair of cycling pants from a bramd called Sucogi I believe. The other is a pair of bike overalls.

You'll need a much better description of just how it is ripping out. Same place? Seam?
How is it being repaired? As I mentioned earlier, a zig-zag stitch should be much more stretchable than a straight stitch.

Only thing I can think of is maybe snagging short on nose of saddle and dragging your weight back. But that only seems to be possible with a baggy short. The fact you say bibs too rules that out on a tight pair of shorts.

I am in need of some serious help. I bought two pairs of cycling pants recently and I can't even go on one ride without finding a tear on one of both of them at the crotch. Luckily I have a girlfriend who sees them up for me but they rip again on the very next ride. I've tried adjusting my saddle height and the position of the nose of the saddle both to absolutely no avail. I've tried swapping out the saddles on my bikes too, still no help. All the local bike shops are stumped too they say theyve never seen anything like it. Nothing else on other forums either, this seems to be a problem no one else is having but me. To make matters worse I'm on a tigtt budget so when the pants finally do give out for good, I'm not going to be able to get more. I am about ready to give up .oh and it happens with my regular clothes too, but to a slightly lesser extent. I am at wits end. Help!!!
I asked these guys what are some Quality Manufacturers of Riding Pants because mine gave out and they came up with Pearl Izuma,Aerotech Designs, Sugoi, Garneau, Castelli, Przewalski and Bauer. The Thread was "Cycling Shorts." You just bought them, try to send them back now and get something that is going to last and work.

Baggy overshorts or even a $5 swimsuit from Walmart worn over your cycling shorts will protect them, or keep you legal if they split catastrophically in public. Think pure thoughts.

My thought the second I read the original post.
At Xmas I went and tried some new track suit trousers on in a shop (what I normally wear for cycling in the winter) and they fit absolutely fine so put them on my list, the minute I sat on a bike and turned the pedals I knew they were too "snug" .... seems like you almost need a size up from your normal fit for cycling.
I now have 2 pairs of the same trousers, one a size smaller for everyday use and one a size bigger for cycling in.
