Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Who said once you learn to ride, you never forget?

I went and rode the velodrome today. I haven't been on my track bike in a while and it was different. The wheel base is shorter on the track bike with a much higher bottom bracket. The top of the the bars are way lower with a more forward position than on my road bike. I felt like a Cat. 5 racer for the first 30 minutes. I am not in good track shape either. My legs are a little sore from being in a slightly too large of gear for me at this point.
