Hey, look at it this way: you have a bike that looks great regardless of lighting conditions.

Not a bad photo per se, but the lighting isn't optimal. Notice that the paint is washed out and you can't properly admire the celeste

Bianchi, (Italian pronunciation: [bjanki]) a plural of bianco (white in Italian), is a frequent proper name; notable people with that surname include: Andrea Bianchi, Italian film director. Bianca Bianchi (1855–1947), stage name of Bertha Schwarz, German/Austrian opera soprano.

If they have some kind of anniversary thing coming up, I think they should make a white bike called "Pista Bianca" or something like that.

Thanks! Still learning and due to having minimal knowledge I will now have to rebuild the wheel as the hub is only meant for single speed and not fixed (no space for a lock ring) oh well - here's how the project started a few weeks ago...

Is that just dirt, or did you have to repaint it? The build turned out nicely either way. Well done!

???: I'm thinking about building up a white Soma Smoothie for my next bike. The only thing that will derail that now would be what you just suggested.

Here's my new pub crawler/grocery getter. Actually... Let's be honest. This is for beer. Anyway... It's almost done with the exception of getting the bars/seat where I want them and tightening up the brakes. I also have foot retention that I haven't installed yet (although this is a SS not a fixed gear so not entirely necessary). This is a Nashbar SSCX bike. The frame, headset, handlebars, seatpost and bottom bracket cup (the replacement BB came with a plastic cup and I don't do plastic) are all that remains of the original bike. Built using:
Velo Orange Stem
Selle Turbo Saddle
Cinelli White Tape
Cane Creek Levers (Brown)
Panasonic Panaracers (700x32)
IRD Defiant Crankset
MKS Touring Pedals
Generic Rack
White Industries 17t Freewheel
Sun M18 Rims / Origin 8 Hubs
Kenda Tubes
Crane Bell (Brass)
Would love to hear your thoughts/opinions!
Best,
Matthew

I really like the paint job (or color scheme or whatever it's called). I would have gone for some bullhorns and inverse brake levers, but that's just my personal preference.
