4 solid hours today, trying to keep up with fudgy.
Sitting on 16 hours for the week, heading for another 20-hour week after tomorrow. Then REST, and lots of it.

4 hours and 50 minutes today with the team, and I'm absolutely dead. I love these long team rides in the late fall/early winter.

I'd say that was pretty epic, I got out for awhile this afternoon, my usual route out to Carlisle and back. Tuesday looks like another good one so hopefully I can get in 3+ hrs then.

3 hours, 3500 feet of climbing.
I wanted to take it easy, but it was either a 25 mph headwind on the flats or a 10 mph headwind on the hills. I chose to climb.
I'm hoping to be fully recovered by Thanksgiving. I feel pretty good today, but my body still isn't telling me, 'Time to wreck s***'.

thanks man! nothing i'm doing is terribly hard, just steady "tempo" and enjoying the weather! thankfully it looks like i'll be able to get a ride in tuesday morning, which is awesome. might just get through this week with no roller riding, although that could be wishful thinking.

I rode my bike again today..outside. Lets say it was a 98% pain free ride, but I contribute the little bit that did come up (and went away pretty quick) from riding 3 days in a row after not riding very much the last few weeks.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rode some miles with the team. 80 or so, but the best is how nice it is to ride here. Perfect day. My athletes really enjoyed it.

Yes, yes we did!
It was a nice cap to what ended up being another 21 hour week for me.
1000 TSS exactly for the week, but I think it's a tad exaggerated since I haven't re-tested in a while.
All your coaching is paying off!!

Part of good coaching is posting up and letting your athletes know what losing is going to feel like. Prepare for the worst, I say. @mattm

Nah, I got hooked up directly since Unovelo was sort of sponsoring our women's team at the time. Let me know the next time you're doing a long ride though, I'm on a rest week this week but I think I get a few weeks afterward to do some relatively unstructured stuff.

Snuck in a ride on what SHOULD be my last week of minimal training.
2.5 hours, 40ish miles, 3500 feet, 0.85 IF, and a mile of dirt/singletrack that I used to bridge between two roads (I can kind of see why guys do cross now).
Thesis defense is Tuesday then school is effing done and I can actually start riding again. Sadly, my fitness will be super depleted for a few big rides coming up. There is a local Thanksgiving day ride that brings out close to 100 and starts as a group ride, but naturally devolves into something faster. The Saturday after thanksgiving is the River Ride World Championship which is poised to kick my teeth in. Then the day after will be first official team ride.

good luck with the defense, I've been stuck in dissertation status for over a year, I moved away from where I'm in school and it's been a pain working with some committee members virtually. But I made a breakthrough with my analysis so I should be on track to finish this spring. I'm even writing an abstract to present at an annual conference. I've clearly spent more time riding than researching, but i want to finish so I can ride guilt free!

Drilled it up a 10% kicker today just to test things out, definitely feeling improvement in power, 770w for 10s. Sure it's way less than normal, but **** it, I'm coming back quickly, going to go easy this week and then continue to rebuild fitness.

What do you guys use for HR for zone 2? What percent of max HR? I thought riding at 140bpm was a good zone 2 for me but then I looked online today and it says 65 to 75% of max heart rate, and that would be 147 to 160bpm. Isn't that really fast for zone 2? Max is 195bpm. I rode 1.5 hours at 140bpm and then did an hour or so climbing hills at a very high HR.

My max is 193 and I consider anything 140 up to 159 to be z2.
The lowest I've ever seen while riding is about 95 so my z1 is probably higher than most.
