No, I got a second bike and haven't bought carbon clinchers for it yet. So my 'good' aluminum Powertap wheels will be on the bike with the Power2Max PM until I purchase new CF wheels. I just thought the Garmin might see two PM's and start syncing to whichever one it sees first when I turn it on.
I ran 2 Garmins and 2 PMs at the same time for awhile. Edge 500 paired to a Powertap SL+ and an Edge 510 paired to a new Quarq Riken. In both cases, I hard-coded the ANT+ ID. I did this because the PT had been rock solid and the previous Gen Quarqs were not. So, I ran both for awhile until I was confident that the Riken was going to be solid. It has been rock solid.

Blast from the Past
I'm changing from Powertap to Quarq (Riken) this weekend (If FedEx is on schedule). What differences should I expect to see?

Question for you Windows7/WKO+ 3.0 users:
I am having trouble making Device Agent recognize my CycleOps Joule GPS when I plug it into a USB port on my new PC. The "Settings", "Erase", "Port", and "Download" fields are all grayed-out, implying that it doesn't see my device when it is plugged in. It starts charging as soon as I plug it in, so I don't think it's that cable. I feel that it is a device driver issue, as the computer doesn't list or display any devices plugged into a USB port after I plug it in.
Background:
I purchased a powertap hub and WKO+ software in fall 2014. I had been using Device Agent and WKO+ successfully on an old crappy laptop I owned with Windows Vista. Over the holidays, I purchased a new PC (Dell Inspiron) with Windows7, and have been in the process of transferring software and files to my new computer. I was able to move my WKO+ license and all of my workout data to the new computer, which was a (mostly) smooth process. Now I am having trouble uploading new data because Device Agent isn't recognizing my device when it is plugged into my new computer.
Do you have any suggests/comments/tips? It's a little frustrating that I can't upload my new data; I already have a handful of workouts that are just piling up on my Joule GPS, which has limited memory. I've tried the Refresh Ports (ctrl R) command and re-installing the software to no avail.
Any help is appreciated. I may have to open a support ticket with Training Peaks soon.

Aha!
Your suggestion led me to the solution.
The USB was working - in fact, when I navigated to control panel -> hardware & sound -> devices and printers, it was listed under Unspecified: "CycleOps Joule GPS". However, when I examined the properties of the device, it was stated the it had no or missing drivers. After that, I was able to successfully use the wizard to install the drivers, and now it works!
So, thanks.

I got a used Giant Trinity circa 2009, complete except for wheels, and put a set of carbon wheels I already had on it - PSIMET 50mm with a Powertap G3 hub. The PT worked fine on the bike the wheels were on previously. On the Trinity, though, I had to spread the rear dropouts slightly to fit the wheel. When I tried to calibrate the PT with my Garmin 500, I got nothing but dashes in the calibration field, and values of 1.3-1.5 in the torque field, where they were 0.0 in the past. The power readings seem about right. I'm trading emails with PT, and their suggestion was to update the firmware on the hub...but I had re-checked that the week before I put the wheel on the bike, and it was the latest release. Any suggestions?
The alternative is to get a Stages Rival crankarm (crankset is Force) and fit the Reynolds 66 tubulars that are currently gathering dust. I work in an LBS that is a Stages dealer, so this is a relatively affordable fix.

That's my guess as well. When I have some time, I'm going to pull the wheel and re-seat it and see if that changes anything.

Trying to psych myself up for a MAP test. How do you guys do it? I'm thinking of setting up my iPad with an interval clock in front of me and the Garmin set to show 3 sec. power. What do you think?

I've had a PM a few weeks now, I really haven't been looking at the numbers. I've been riding and training with the watts either taped over or looking at a different screen on the garmin. I plan on doing my first formal test tonight after work; planning on doing the MAP test. Frankly, I don't like doing intervals longer than 10 minutes on the trainer. I usually stick to 60" on/off or ladder intervals, those usually get me ready for start of racing season in march.
