Have joined this forum as of this past Tue
So now I'm 50. Don't feel different. For those not familiar with me...I post mostly in the Clyde/Athena forum. I'm currently training for the AIDS Lifecycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles this coming June.

I assume your mailbox has already been stuffed with AARP solicitations. Those will continue unrelentlessly until you cave in and sign up.
If you think those are bad, just wait until you get the targeted mailings for pre-paid funeral expenses.
Oh, and that pie thing ... my favorite is strawberry-rhubarb pie with a big scoop of ice cream, without the pie. Pumpkin pie is swell. Key lime and Margarita pie are exceptions to the ice cream rule.
50 candles do not belong in a pie, either. Chocolate cake and ice cream are where they belong.
Don't listen to those old people telling you their old fart stories about how life isn't worth living without pie. Beer, maybe.

We're off-topic ...
I bet OP is off riding her bike as I should be also, but yesterday's rigor is today's rigor mortis.
Longer recovery rates is another thing to look forward to after hitting big five-O. Pie or ice cream doesn't really help with it.
