Nashbar Flat Bar Road Bike Sale

Just ordered one at $299.99 + 40% off. With taxes and oversized charges only came out to $255.00. Based on the decent (not outstanding) reviews seems like a pretty good buy. Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered.

I bought one last year and it's a pretty decent bike - well worth the price. I think it's nearly identical to a Trek fx 7.2 but with more road friendly tires. After I bought it, I tried a Giant Escape 1 and found the Giant to be much more responsive although they weigh about the same. You will like the bike but don't expect it to be as fast as a road bike.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Interested to know what you think about it.

No bike powered by me will ever again be described as fast.

I've had a few Nashbar bikes, and have no complaints. I came real closing to buying their touring model last night, which came with a nice promotional discount. Just don't have room for another bike right now. Keep an eye out for their "72 items 72% or more off for 72 hours" sales. Great time to pick up parts and accessories.

Please post a review!

I was thinking about picking up the Women's version for the wife. She has an old DB hybrid and wants something a little more aggressive.

I have read similar reviews, "bang for the buck" at Nashbar is hard to beat.

Bike is supposed to be delivered today. Also, kind of forgot to tell my wife about the new bike. I think she'll know what it is when she signs for it.

So I took my wife out to dinner to apologize for forgetting to mention the bike. After dinner we came home and I proceeded to assemble the bike.

The bike arrived well packed with only an issue or two. The front wheel seems a bit out of true. One of the thumb triggers evidently was pinched in shipping which sheared off a small piece and there was a small metal spur on one of the QRs.

Assembly was no problem if you have a bit of experience with the wrench.

First impressions: if there's a better new bike for $250 I would like to know about it. Seems mies ahead of what you could find at a Walmart or such. I post more thoughts tomorrow.

I ordered mine today also. With the extended cyber Monday sale mine was $209.99. Don't see how I can go to far wrong at this entry point.

I bought this bike a few weeks back and I am completely amazed by the quality of the bike.

I bought it as a grocery store runner and it turns my errands into a complete joy.

The quality is off the charts for the price.
