Oldie and newbie signing in
Hi,
I've been riding bikes on and off since I was 3 or 4 and I'm in my 60s now.
I tend to keep my bikes for a long time. In the shed I currently have a 6 year old Voodoo hybrid which gets a lot of use, a late 80s Raleigh Kelloggs Pro Tour and an early 80s Raleigh Record Ace.
I prefer riding by myself and typically do a 20 - 30 mile ride at the weekends.
I've followed the Tour de France since the 1970's and also enjoy watching the Giro and Vuelta.

Welcome! Your story sounded familiar until you got to the part about following the TdF in the 1970s. Yeah, no, didn't really pick up on the racing thing in the mid-US 1970s. Our bikes are about the same age, however. Hope you have fun here.
