true.. the 10 is ridic. traffic everyday until late evening. one of the unique things about cars in LA is, there's usually, 1 and only 1 person in most of them.

That's how it is here in Middle 'Merica. ****ing business guys, driving monster 4 door pick ups. Like it adds inches to your dick or something. Or women, tiny tiny women, driving giant SUVs, alone, no family. Too small to even maneuver the thing in a parking.
That's what these are for.....

all these people make me think of a radio ad from GTA:
"I'm a marketing manager who lives in the suburbs and commutes to work on the highway. I live alone, so of course I needed a car that can seat 12 and is equipped to drive across arctic tundra...it just makes me feel better!"
"Phil and I just had another kid. So of course we need a bigger SUV. Being a mom is hard, with soccer, football and lacrosse practice, so we bought the new Maibatsu Monstrosity. It's so big...we lost little Joey in the back and couldn't find him for and hour! When I'm rushing to the mall, or talking on my cell phone, I know me and my family are safe. The Maibatsu Monstrosity has 4- wheel drive, and in amphibious mode...it can cross rivers. So far I've only hit a few puddles, but it's good to know it's there. With the time I save taking shortcuts through the strip-mall parking lot I can focus on the important things. Like gazing longingly at the pool boy or...buying more exercise equipment off the TV. So what if it gets 3 miles to the gallon!? I'm a mom, not a conservationist!"

Here's a stock photo for reference:
In person, the red hubs and nipples were a little much for me but I think It started out pretty good-looking when in the first place.

my new bike.
I searched a lot, but couldn't find a old frame (in Brazil people are asking stupids amounts of money for local gas pipe frames - we got some fixed + vintage fever here some time ago). So, for the price of a new chinese fixed bike, I found this KHS (also new, stock from 2013).
Despite the gas pipe fork, it's really nice (frame! all other parts I will swap eventually). Even the fork, I can find a 1 1/8 cromoly chromed one if I want. (retro-gression sell those)
Right now I need a white seat, and proper polish on the stem and do the same to the handlebar. As you can see, I'm not aiming for internet cred, with the dual brakes. Only thing I hate is this stupid sloping TT ah, and the **** 26.0 seatpost sizing...
did a little test ride today. Forgot how nice it is to hear just the sound of the tires on the tarmac, except for a annoying little noise on bad roads. I traced it to the top tube cable housing. I guess I need a 3rd clamp there. Or there's some kind of secret that I don't know? (besides removing the brake? )
