Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Heres my new ride - The infamous "Walmart Special" - Debaged, new pedals, brake levers (bent in shipping), and oury grips. And the saddle off my road bike (good excuse to buy a new one for the roadie)

Whoever converted that bike like that then should be prosecuted.

And I'm not a "sir" thank you very much.

Also, foot retention is not a fixed vs not fixed gear thing, it's for, you know, going fast?

djomlas, if you're on a budget the Lascos seem like a decent set. I only ride my bikes, no tricks or anything. They're an alloy, so they were stronger than the OE crankset that came on my SE Draft.

ADDED:
PS, how do you get your pics on here? I tried the ole "[img] [/img]" tags but it don't work on here.

Here's my '09 SE Draft the day I brought it home. Already swapped the bars, front brake lever and wheelset.

And here's a few more current pics. Swapped out the crankset....

Finally figured out how to get pics on here, using their image "uploader" thing. Anyway, you'll see a closeup of my crankset. My bike's a black and gold SE Draft.

It's currently 54/15. I thought it was 54/18, but I just re-checked and it turns out the cog is a 15t ha. Pretty crazy... but I like it. I can haul some ass, that's for sure. I've got a 16t on the other side of the hub that I might flip it to here soon though.
