SRM SPD pedals
If these had been available at the time I never would have bought Vectors.

Pricey piece of gear to smash on a rock riding singletrack.
I guess that could be said of any gear and riding gravel exclusively minimizes the risk but singletrack or straight up MTB require a certain level of not caring about breaking the gear. It sorta comes with the territory.
I'm glad there are choices though and the comments in the DCR article are insteresting. I didn't think about fat bike people and power meters.

I rode Look X-Tracks for about 7,000 miles, if memory serves. Around then they got squidgy and squeaky, as has every other SPD-cleat pedal I've ever had. Sure hope SRM offers rebuild parts.
And I mean for other people. My most recent PM purchase was a Rotor INPower crankset that set me back $400 shipped. I have concerns about putting powermeters in what I consider to be wear parts.

IQ2 looks to be about to ship a better product for 1/3 the price. The SRM pedal, the road version, didn't give good data at launch. Maybe they're better now. They still are 2x the price they should be. https://www.iqsquare.com/

I doubt IQ2 will ever ship. Every engineer thinks they can design a power meter, including me. I'm just smart enough not to start on a project I'm sure I would never finish. There are lots of people that have tried and failed.
