Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sub $35 Conti GP4KS at PBK

Stock up while they last. $63 delivered for the pair when you use the TDFUSA promo. I'd jump, but I'm already pretty well stocked. But I paid more than that.

Thanks for the heads up! While my new TCR came with prorace 3's or whatever they call them... They are just to fragile for my liking. Two flats in the first 100 miles was as many as the gp's tend to give me over 2000.

you're welcome folks, seems that if I buy a single tire, the twin pack comes back in stock. I waited like a month for the twin pack to come back in stock, and a few days ago, I couldn't wait any longer, so I bought them individually. Of course a few days later they're back in stock. Second time that happens to me with the twin pack.

Huh, I rode my PR3s hard until the colored threads were showing through the rubber, then switched to the 4000s. I love the feel of the 4000s so far, but the PR3 was a great tire with a super durable casing.

2 flats in first 100 miles says either strike by lightning unlucky odds, or user error.

Guess we can strike it up to lightening then... User error had nothing to do with it. Bad luck maybe.

Decent deal.

I stocked up last year when you could get them for about 28 bucks/each. Not sure if it will ever be that cheap again , I got a half dozen so have plenty for now.

Thanks for the head's up! Just ordered a pair myself. Hoping that my current ones will last through the winter, but I like to stock up when they're cheap.

I loved the ride of the PR3s but man, those things flatted if I looked at them wrong. I've had great luck with the Conti's.

Thanks dude. I ordered these six months ago when they did the $63 delivered. I had them in 5 days and they sat in my garage for four months before I needed them. I have 1000 miles on them now and love them. I was hoping somebody would post when they had this deal again and I just pulled the trigger on two more pair.

CPJ - They're 10% off if you use the coupon code TDFUSA. So the $70 becomes $63 - delivered.

I've got almost 4,000 miles on my set and the back tire still has some meat left on it, according to the wear indicators. One flat.

Ooops--just jinxed myself.

Good grief...how am I supposed to thumb my nose at buying these from PBK (you know...not helping the US economy) when the best discount I get from BikeTiresDirect is $50/tire (including delivery). Saving $17/tire on GP4000's is pretty significant.

*Edit* OK...upon further investigation, it appears the two-pak are 23mm tires and I ride 25's. It's still about $6 cheaper to go through PBK but not the gap I thought it was.

Jumped on it. I saw this earlier today but thought they had raised the price on the single tire, I didn't realize that was for a twin pack. Perfect timing as I need a replacement pair too.

Thanks!

Wait till you try Vittoria Open Corsa's. 2 total flats from 3 pairs of Attack/Forces and a pair of 4000S' while using Race Light and Supersonic tubes. One from hitting a humongous pothole big enough to leave a slight dent in my rim while riding in a big group, and the other was from riding the tire all the way down to the tube. I probably have had 8 flats since starting to use Open Corsa's just 5 months ago. Don't get me wrong they roll nicer, but not that much better. Not significantly enough for everyday use and training. Now I'm back on 4000S' and never looking back.

Apparently they're no longer in stock, as clicking the picture on the front page for the twin pack leads to a product not found error

Any promo codes for Ribble? Also, I've heard of Ribble, but what is the consensus on dealing with them?

I only bought from them once, but no problems. They have an automatic discount (at least when I checked).

Edit: says $31.71 each after 20% discount, to get discount you have to spend more than 77 bucks....link:https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/sp/roa...re/CONTTYRF321

ps it looks like they have michelin PR3 for under 30 bucks as well.
