2020 Trek Verve 3
I bought a Verve 3 back in February 2020. I just hit the 1000 mile mark, so thought I'd leave my thoughts. We do most of our riding on rails to trails in NW Indiana, but also on Mackinac Island a couple times a year.
Pros
Disc brakes---wow, what a difference to caliper!
Handles are very comfortable
Smooth and fast for a comfort bike
Upright for sightseeing
Wireless computer integration
Love the color
Cons
Made in China
Handle bars loosened up after every ride-finally had to get warranty replacement
Trek touts the Blender stem, but there is not an attachment available to mount the computer and light. That's a simple configuration.
Made in China
I bought my last Trek bike in 2003. I thought all Trek bikes were Made in the USA. My fault for not paying attention.
I added a tail light which includes a bike alarm and electronic horn on it, and it functions as a brake light too. I love the folding lock to keep it minimal, and the knockoff bell I bought for only $10. The Bontrager headlight has worked great, albeit I have not used much more than a daytime running light (which starts automatically when I start biking since it's paired to the computer)
Overall I'm happy with it. But next purchase I'll try to buy American.

Nice bike! My wife has a Verve 3 from a few years ago and yours is better equipped. I like the color.
I think you would be hard-pressed to find a new American-made bike in that price range on today's market.

I have a Verve 3 on order. I loved the low, easy access for my knees and hand grip. Can you share the name of your lock and other accessories. I have several months to wait. Thank you

Very nice bike
I recently purchased my first Verve Trek bike. Mine is a Verve 1 and yours has all the whistles. Beautiful. Happy riding. I will also be looking for accessories like the ones you purchased. Nice.

I bought a Verve +3 back in late August and my dealer seems pretty sure it was made in Germany. He says the Bosch electrics are a tip-off.

I bought my Trek Verve III back in 2015.
I knew then it was made in China. There`s a sticker saying so right on the bike.
I actually thought that being Made in China would have brought the price down a couple of hundred bucks...More!
I like pretty much everything about . Except..
I`ve been breaking spokes on the rear tire. I`ve been told there is too much of a gap where the spokes hook onto the hub. That`s where I`m breaking spokes. The last two I broke the LBS put a brass collar over the spoke where it fits into the hub. They told me I really need to have the wheel rebuilt , and have those brass sleeves put on every new spoke, or just get a new rear wheel.
Other then the rear spoke problem, I`ve enjoyed thousands of fun miles on that bike since I`ve retired.
