Thanks for the post. When my maternal grandmother got her RN degree, I think her first job was in a Glenwood Springs dentist's office.

Great, still haven't made it up that way to ride the Rio Grande Trail as of yet, maybe this summer and the new trail will be a "bonus"!!

Sweet!! Just a few weeks until I'm out that way. We're staying in Glenwood Springs for two nights during BTC.

In mid June we are planning 8 - 10 days in Colorado with the tandem, and I'll probably also take a single. Plans are real loose at this point, but was figuring on at least an overnight between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, touring on the bike. Other plans are for in and around Denver, staying downtown. We also plan to see friends in Boulder and spend one or two days in Colorado Springs.
Suggestions are welcome.

When in Colorado Springs, you might look at riding thru the Garden of the Gods! It's hilly but very scenic. If you've got a non-road bike, the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail (a mix of dirt, asphalt, concrete) goes from Colorado Springs "north" thru the USAF Academy all the way to Greenland Open Space, (almost to Castle Rock, CO. ) If you head "south" on the PPGWT, it takes you all the way to Fountain, CO. A good starting point is "America the Beautiful Park" in downtown Colorado Springs. FYI.
