Campagnolo Nuovo Record ID

Hello,

I just bought a bike which is build with some Campy parts but has also a lot of other mixed components on it.
As FD, RD, Headset and Cranks are all campy nuovo record I guess this was the initial setup.

I then wanted to check the date code on the RD but instead of saying "pat.72" or "pat.77" it just says "Patent".

Has anyone here an idea if this is a mistake made by campagnolo or what does it mean? Are these rare or is it just common for like the first RD that were build?

Thank you in advanced,
Matt

the Patent were just the early ones, prior to 1970

...which is also to say there aren't so many of them, and, yes, those in fine shape command better prices.

Other than that, they're just the same.

What kind of bike Matt? I'm sure many of us here would love to see some pics.

The bike has no brand on it. Brakes aren`t Campy unfortunatly
Got it for 40 dollars so I just too it.
However it needs new cables, and the headset turns very difficult so I guess it takes some attention.

When I get home I will make a picture.

Here are some pictures now. If anyone has an idea which brand the frame is I would appreciate it. I am pretty shure it is not the original color anymore....

What is the threading on the cranks? Pics of rear drops and seat cluster? Seat post size?

Threading of the cranks I can not tell you for the moment.
Seat post size is 27,2mm.

if it weren't for the 27.2 post, I would be inclined to say it is a Gitane Super Corsa

Wouldn't most Rickerts have two parallel slash marks on the seatstay caps?

This frame and component selection looks very similar (but not 100% identical) to an Atala record professional I once had. I would guess that the seatpost, stem and shifters are non-original.
Check BB for Italian threading.
