Where does your bike live?
I'm curious about this, for no good reason. In the commuting forum, once a week somebody will start a thread about where bikes are parked for 8 hours a day ... but "parking" a bike when you're out and about imposes some constraints that most of us don't feel at home. So, when you're not riding the bike, and when it's not locked up wherever you rode it to, where do you store it?

They all live together eventhough some are still in the closet!
Wife says no way they are staying outside in the garage, I don't argue! We keep them in the bike room, shared with my computer. A couple we don't use much are hiding in the closet along with some of my wheel stuff.

My every day bike lives in the living room, which annoys the hell out of my wife BUT she lets me keep it there because I ride it every day and it is the most convenient place because of that. I have a couple more that live out in the shed for now and thats fine by me....for now

In the living room... much to my surprise the Mrs. didn't object when I brought my new bike in the house... She's just so happy that I'm riding again!

My two bikes are in the house. Sometimes in the foyer, sometimes in the livingroom. My wife's bike is in the garage, because she doesn't ride it.
My wife doesn't really have a problem with this, as the bicycles were in my life before she was.

No pictures, but..
One bent steel frame with components hanging in the garage.
3 road bikes in the front room of the house, leaning against bookcases and a reloading bench.
3 road bikes in the family room, one hanging, one leaning on the wall under it, and the other on the hearth.
2 MTBs in my bedroom.
My son has his BMX and MTB in his room.
Daughter's 2 bikes are in her room.

My bicycle and motorcycle both live in my garage. My car has to sit in the driveway.

That's getting the priorities straight. I usually in the summer clean the bikes ones a week or so, the car, when I had one, only got an occasional rinse off ...... when it rained.

Bikes get a regular inspection, and wash, I try for once a week, although sometimes it's 2 or 3 weeks, depending on use. Now that I have two bikes, I may ride one all week, and the other one will sit, and I may not inspect it if it hasn't been ridden.....

THe one I ride is in the front hallway leaning against the closet door... the one I don't ride is in the work-stand on the other side of the same hall.
Don't really have a garage and anything that gets stored outside in Southern California gets filthy... so my babies live inside.

Mine sits on the bike rack in the basement of my apartment building, locked to death.

I just got a new car (seriously, it cost less than the used ones with 40,000 miles on them) and I absolutely don't believe in washing cars with potable water (?! who does that?!) but ... I totally washed it last week. It looks great
