Vintage looking 9, 10 and 11 speed cranksets

Finding a modern crankset that looks vintage is also a challenge. The classic 130 bcd and larger standard cranksets for square taper cranks almost always are better looking than more modern compact cranksets for 9, 10 or 11 speed chains.
However, having a wide gear range and 18, 20 or 22 theoretical gearing combinations has its appeal.
What cranksets, from any era, are you using with 9, 10 or 11 speed chains?

Here is a compact crankset that I really like from Velo Orange. This one is in black, but it comes in silver as well. Not cheap, but it looks very much the vintage part.

I have a buddy who built up a '90 Lemond with an 11-speed Athena group. Looks really sharp. I should take a photo next time I see him and post it up here.

White Industries also makes a silver version of this crank, and you can go as low as you want (mine is 46/30T):

Sneak peak at my Eroica bike for this year. Currently using a 10 speed Chorus chain with flawless front shifting. Pretend like you don’t see that camera on there. That’s a VO 46-34 Grand Cru. The pic below is an older version VO 46-34 that as my legs get noodlier, might go on one of my C Record era equipped bikes.

My go-to crank is some variation of the Campagnolo Racing T.
I've have not tried on of these with 11-speed, but they work great with 10-speed and I can't see a reason 11-speed wouldn't work. They have pins and ramps for clean shifting, and the inner ring is a standard size (74, I think) that lets you go super-granny if you want to. I think the one in my top picture was produced in 2010. Campy doesn't make these anymore, but they're readily available in very good condition on eBay. I got the top one NOS for around $80.

Sugino for me.
Mighty Tour 901D for the Mercian running 10 speed.
XD600 Triple on the Riv Clem Jr running 9 speed.

If I wasn't talented at breaking cranksets, I'd consider the SunXCD or the nouveau Herse cranks. Both are beautiful.
Another modern crank that is very attractive is the TA Carmina. It seems to be the crank of choice for the current Alex Singer bicycles. The price is very high. Rumored to be forged by Sugino under contract.

I have to say I quite like these thread about modern components that look like classic models. We have had the New Derailleurs that look Vintage-thread and my own Experiences with current High Flange Cassette hubs? - thread.
What about the Pro 5 Vis (Specialites TA, Stronglight 49D, Nervar and many others) cranks?
- SunXCD cranks
- Velo Orange Grand Cru
- And of course Grand Bois' Cinq Feuill rings with the SunXCD cranks 43/26T
As for the non-50.4mm ones; IRD makes several classic models, Sugino has the Mighty, XD and Alpina 2 and Strong;light still makes the Impact "E" Compact, Impact "E" triple

and if I read the website correctly, it's 32,000 yen? About $320?
That's a pretty good surcharge relative to the $150(?) I paid for the SunXCD cranks & TA rings, but possibly reasonable considering the big ring.
I'm guessing laser or water jet to cut the pattern in the big ring? ...or plasma? Certainly a fun and attractive design.
Not sure how I feel about attaching the small ring to the 50.4mm bolt circle, though.

It's probably done on a CNC mill. There's other ways to do it, but that's how it would be done in small production batches. It's not flat like it would be if cut with a water jet or whatever other 2D CNC process.

I can talk about this Stronglight Impact, nice and cheap 46/34 crankset I run in a now sold Surly Cross Check, specified 9/10 speeds it worked with 8s flawlessly.

I can talk about this Stronglight Impact, nice and cheap 46/34 crankset I run in a now sold Surly Cross Check, specified 9/10 speeds it worked with 8s flawlessly.

My 2007 Roubaix has a FSA Gossamer that's shiny, and kinda vintage looking, especially if you add shiny chain rings. This one is a triple. Its also Mega Exo BB, which may be a problem for vintage frames.
