Frame Size help please

Hi All.
New here, from South Africa

Looking for advise please on finding the right size frame for my next bike. I am stuck in the middle of frame sizes and not sure which way to go.

Current bike: Silverback Sirelli 2 road bike - Size L - 56cm
Top Tube: 560
Reach: 396
Headtube length: 150
Seattube length: 563
90cm stem

Looking to buy Swift Carbon - Ultravox SSL - Size M - 54cm
Top Tube: 553
Reach: 388
Headtube length: 147
Seattube length: 540
100-110cm stem

I am testing a Swift Size large at the moment with a 90mm but the reach to the brake hoods are just too far, I would need to use a 60-70mm stem to be ideal fit.

Need advise from the more experienced please. My gut tells me to go with a Medium frame Swift and run longer stem and 1 x additional 3-5mm headspacer if needed to bring the front end height up.

I suggest going by the bicycle manufacture's recommendation and make the adjustments recommended by trailangel if you are not average. Most bike seats and handle bars can be adjusted for a proper fit from there.

Keep in mind different bike styles can have much different frame specs depending on the intended purpose.

Non sufficient information. Without any information as to your size, there is no way to get started.

My height is 1.83m.
Longer legs, ahort reach.

Manufacturers specs for thw Swift Carbon bike also says a medium frame but I'm trying to be 110% sure before making the purchase.
