Here my first serious Italian build with Campy eye candy

Last week I pick up this 1971 Doniselli Turchino Frameset from the original owner, it also came with Mavic GP4 tubular. He purchased from cyclopedia in Cadillac, MI and raced the cherry festival race, he took second in his class.
Well I have been wrenching on this for a week and here she is sitting pretty.
Build her up with full Campagnolo Nuovo Record, Nuovo Record high flange hub, super competition campion rim, It came with SR royal setpost, then I used newer record white brake hoods I had on this Nuovo lever.
hope you guys and gals enjoy my build.

Nicely, nicely done.

Eye candy for sure, THAT would get my attention.

Very nice. I hate to be 'that girl' (no not Marlo Thomas) but at least one and probably two of your brake pads are on backwards. The opening always faces the rear.

That was a week well spent!

She cleaned up beautifully. You should really show the original owner how good she looks. Although he might want it back!

Beauty.

Looks like you could add a link or two of chain. Might make it easier on the rear derailleur to make it up into the bigger cogs.

I have a 79 Raleigh Professional set up the same way. The hubs and skewers are the same and if not mistaken are the Tipo model. They have the Campy wing logo and name, but no model name.

Want to add that I still love riding a NR equipped bike. The stuff works well and requires no adjustments whatsoever over the years. Buttery smooth hubs and BB bearings, brakes work well with the right pads, and shifting works really well with 5 and 6 speed cogs and plays well with 7 speed. Good equipment that you will enjoy for tens of thousands of miles.
