Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Any advice for kids?

My son, age 7, caught the bug and is DYING to race. I've explained how difficult it is but can't quench his enthusiasm. So I'm going to put him in the Junior under 10 race this weekend. I figure it's just a chance for him to get on the course and experience it - he'll have on sneakers and be riding his hot rock. Anyone start their kids really young and have any tips or things I should know going in?

Don't know where you're located but many of the races here in New England have kid's fun races. My son (5) has done two and will probably do a few more this season.
