I don't know, but I do enjoy these kind of shows as well as classic car shows. My favorite car collection is the French National Museum in Muhlhouse France. I used to take the train from my home near Heidelberg to Müllheim, Germany and ride the last 20 or so km to Muhlhouse on my bike. Made the rail/bike day trip about 3 or 4 times.

All up yesterday, we walked about 4 km and did it again today ... shopping + back and forth from where we're staying to where my parents live.

Plus we snuck in a 7 km ride on our Bike Fridays today as well!

The last car show I went to, a couple of months ago, also had an area with a bunch of cool old bicycles, vintage stuff I'd never heard of. No Triumphs though. I sort of want one to go with my motorcycle.

endomondo must've had an update because it has been glitchy today, so I switched over to another app (Sports Tracker) after I noticed that endomondo had started recording again when it should've been paused while I was inside Walgreens, nor did it auto-sync to the site- until I just 'refreshed' the latest workout on my tablet. Does appear that they've changed the algorithm for calorie burn and their mapping has gotten more accurate- it clearly showed me walking on both sides of the street.

Anyways, mileage was 2.21 and 1.38 miles, respectively. Roundabout route that included stops at the Dentist, USPS, Walgreens, and the grocer closest to the house.

Sunday -- 5.75 km.

Just a very short ride to the beach, along the beach, and back. I'm still pretty jet-lagged, but wanted to get out and move in fresh air a little bit after being stuck in airplanes and airports for nearly 40 hours.

This is just down the road from where we currently live.

Friday 90 miles, 40-50 in the rain. Just finished cleaning that bike. Today Bailey and I had a nice ride. The cooler weather is a lot easier for Bailey in the trike.

Did Bailey join you for the 90 mile ride too?

No. The trike loaded is over 110 lbs. It's geared way down so it's easy to pedal, but that means cruising at 80-90 rpm = 8-9 mph. Including bathroom and just waking around stops for Bailey, that would be a very long day. Or two. It's just a coincidence that one mph = 10 rpm. Hit 19 mph once hit 20 once. Can sprint to 16 without too much trouble. The cranks are 140.

Sick. Rode to work and back and stopped off to get food, but everyone at my house feels too gross to cook. Hopefully it will pass by the weekend, because the weather is gorgeous for riding!

Ouch, Cooker!

I had my canoe thing down over the weekend and put my Fargo in it, as a test. There was not room for me, so I guess getting a trailer for the boat to haul behind my bike is going to be on hold until I get a longer canoe or a folding bike with low gears. Seeing Machka's pictures reminded me of the latter possibility.

Nowhere: recovery day. It's just as well because I did something to my right wrist yesterday and it still kills to move it very much and it's windy as ---- today. But yesterday I rode into town and back, total distance 10 miles. Was nearly ran down by a volunteer fire fighter, who I chased down and nearly caught, and I would have if he'd stopped for the red light. 23 mph on a 29er with off-road tires isn't too shabby for a clyde, though it took 10 minutes to get my breath back! I see that guy around town regularly so when I find out which fire station he's out of I'll say something about his safety.

Do people actually pay attention to the lines there? The trail here, where there are lines on it, pedestrians walk line-abreast and refuse to move, even with noise motivation.

Monday – 1 km (to and from the bus) + 0.8 km (shopping) = 1.8 km

Tuesday – 0.5 km (to the bus) + 1.4 km (shopping) = 1.9 km

Wednesday – 1 km (to and from the bus) + 1.6 km (picking up symphony tickets) = 2.6 km

Subtotal: 6.3 km walking for the week so far. I'm kind of easing back into it again after struggling with jet lag/altitude sickness/lack of sleep.

Some do, probably more than half. It is a bike path was built and is operated by the state as a bike path. Not the same rules as an MUP. If people are blocking the path for me, I accelerate if they are facing me, and scream "passing" very loudly. If one of the peds blocking the way looks scared or just a little weak, I aim right for that one, and stand on the pedals. When I get close I slow down and pass safely. When I do I say thank you. They almost all say "You're welcome".

If there is a large group of kids not facing me, and not moving over, and I have the dog in the trike, I get close (going very slow) scream passing and the dog barks as loud as he can. If they get up I still say thanks, and they say "you're welcome". Then we never have a problem. The macho, trying to be tough, guys always want to see the dog! Never a problem.

Everyone should have one.

woof ^..^

I could record his bark on a digital device. Then sell bike horns that are a dog barking loudly. I almost think they might sell.

Too much work this week...I am sad to be missing the great fall rides, as the weather is perfect and the colors are in full swing. I rode to work, and a work event, and the grocery store.

If I can work through this weekend, hopefully I can take an afternoon off next week and get in a longer ride.

This morning at dawn I rode through an abandoned golf course. There was a thin layer of fog about 4 feet above the ground. So my head was floating above the fog, while my bike and lower body were beneath it. With the mist and the red colors of sunrise, it looked like I was riding through flames and smoke.
