I don't remember seeing any Japanese stayer bikes, but I might lose my memory.. interesting, that the European makes have always added extra support under the seat and from the handlebar to the fork crown, I wonder why it is missing here... anyway it is nice, maybe a bigger chain ring would spice it up a bit...

Aha! Very interesting. I had no idea the Dura Ace AX FD had a side-swing configuration.

When these hit the street we might marvel at todays mostly ignored bikes with some nostalgia we cannot imagine today we would ever feel. One part of me is looking forward to these the other hopes I wont live that long. Although they are still on the market I already stareted to afraid of the day when Campa and Shimano stops making rim brakes and mechanical derailleurs.
But for sure I also dig tech evolution to a certain extend (until bicycles are human powered they can have space tech for me)

And one more... for those who would write to Santa immediately the Basso frame is EUR385, the Vetta is EUR490, and the Concorde is 999 (with the spoke wheels, guys wants 730 for the 3G, that's a bit steep I must say)

Lattz,
I would like to know where you are finding these.....I lost a few lately, here are the pics. These would have been favorites if I had them and both were reasonably priced!

Phone alarm on mute...missed it by 10 minutes!

I thought I had this one but the seller was offered more by another buyer and did the typical CL thing and sold it for a few bucks more....just like the EX Mech. Cinelli.

I am currently sourcing parts for a Schwinn Paramount Track frame build, so all is good! Pics soon.
Best, Ben

Hi Ben, these are on the German classifieds
Basso
Concorde
Vetta

I am not associated with the sellers in any way just keep my eyes peeled for good finds or for the nice pics in like 6 countries
If you open the site from Chrome it will offer auto translation.
Thise 2 frames are really nice.. especially that celeste Bianchis are really close to my heart.

As for the Paramount, US bikes in general were never on my radaras I mostly daydream with Italian bikes. But the red Paramount of merziac popped my eyes open that there are a lot more bikes to see in the US than I thought. So Im waiting for pics... and maybe update on the Bertoni (Joe King here) I came a long way when it comes to ignorance from Bianchi only through Italian only to whatever nice or special doesnt matter where is it from.

SMW,
Yes, I have lately missed a few....this one had been on my radar, and as I said my phone alarm was on mute so I missed it. It seemed like only one other person was interested so I might have had a chance to get it for a reasonable price unless the buyer wanted it more. In any event, it happens.

The Japanese make bicycles that are not only racing machines of the highest echelon, but works of art.
Welcome back, hope you enjoyed your time. Looks like theres no sign of taste disorder so you dont have to stay in posting quarantine.

Yeah, put it the way, the bike wasn’t the limiting factor to the speed! It really shifted and the GripShifts were superb.

Gut gemacht! It is a cool looking bike. I amost got one last year but had to step back last second when I remembered I'm just about to shrink the bike park not to grow it. Would have been a good (and really cheap) entry in the lo pro world.

I guess none of us would feel ashamed with this one... its a masterpiece. Luciano Palett was really a hipster of his time as he did plenty of things way before they were cool.

Nice SOMEC
That seatpost started the plague with me, when I saw it the first time It made me immediately a SOMEC believer. Then it got worse when I saw the panto parts and Martini paintjobs.

Yes, the seat post on the SOMEC is the worst of it, sometimes panto's get out of hand....maybe if they were filled in with black they would be less disruptive. The Paletti on the other hand has a very understated elegance to it... business-like, able to get the job done, not implying the SOMEC can't/didn't, but in my mind understated wins the aesthetic every day. Cinelli and a few others have the formula, as the architect, Mies would say "God is in the detail" and "Less is more".
Best, Ben

Extreme Angles....I can't find much on these other than the pictures, the Medici is purportedly a National Record holder, maybe an internet falsity/fake news.
Botto, only a picture, no text.
If anyone knows more it would be interesting to get some insights.
Best, Ben

VINTAGE NATIONAL RECORD HOLDER MEDICI TIME TRIAL FRAME?

Did Bottecchia make this or is this a homemade frame????

Elegant, rare, and unique.
And a TOMMI too!

Nice shape.
Very nice indeed.

More great disc wheels ...sorry if this was posted before...but worth a second look for the wheels. The cat likes it and is guarding it.

The KM looks all business and I do like the fact that Jiji is in the picture!

Agreed! I have the decals for my Bertoni but thinking that I will leave them off and keep the "ghost" lettering that remains from the old adhesive to identify the maker.
Thanks for posting...you must have quite a library!
