Ha! Now you have me wondering about that too!
Just a quick search turned up this article from 4 years ago confirming Aegis did create frames for Iron Horse, as well as Basso, Profile, and Peugeot. Interesting read.
Just reinforces my feeling that a "family tree" sort of document should be created to show the relationships and influences among bike companies over the years.

https://bangordailynews.com/2016/10/...orthern-maine/

If I can find out anything about Aegis's reason for designing the frame as they did, I'll reply back in this thread.

Bianchi Volpe 62cm Frame 27" Wheels 15 Speed Suntour Cantilever Brakes - $375 (Medford)

I am selling a Bianchi Volpe with a 62cm Double Butted Tange chromo frame that is extremely light light. The 27 inch Matrix Safari wheels are true and the tires are like new. The 15 speed Suntour Accushift 4050 component system works great and the cantilever brakes are tight. This is a nice ride that is ready to go, 207-332-4524, cash or trade

Slightly cheaper than above and I'm unsure if value there for the money but nice set anyway.

Buffalo, NY listed yesterday for $400 (owner taking offers)

That's a steal, someone better be running to that. Heck I responded right away when one showed up 2 hours away from me. Luckily the seller was cool and held if for me as 4 others called before I got there and I left right away.

I felt sorry for it and I surely don't need it, and if you're close enough to pick it up rather than have it shipped, it would be worthwhile - especially if you like plain-gauge 531 and patina! Dawes Galaxy frameset cheap -

Gazelle Top 20 - Martkplaats
Fully enclosed chaincase IGH with rim brakes.

The only thing I can't decide on is whether that top tube is by design or by accident.
Doesn't look like there is any damage around the lugs?

Sometimes called a camelback frame. Raleigh used this design on the Colt and some other models. Other makers have also used this. I posted one a few pages back.

Vintage Chrome Schwinn Voyageur - $295

Beautiful custom-built Voyageur with components not found on standard model - Dura Ace crank and brakes, top of the line SunTour derailleurs, bar controls, 3TTT bars and stem, and Weinmann concave clincher rims. Will need some new bar tape and brake lever covers. Large 25" frame so this is great for a taller rider. Really a unique-looking bike and will make for a great city rider -

Kind of nice to see one of those without the chrome tax.

Seems like most of the time people are trying to get $500+ out of those things if they're full chrome.

Big Gitane

https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/bi...195600271.html

"Gitani 59 cm, Reynolds 531 - $350

Here is a recent garage find ,stored for decades. It is a hand built custom Gitani from 1970 and there is the remains of the Reynolds 531 sticker on the down tube. The crank is Stronglight, the brakes are Mafac "Competition", wheels are Mavic rims with Campagnolo Grand Comp hubs, the deraileurs are Simplex and Heuret, the pedals are Leotard and one is missing the dust cap. The sadle is a Brooks but is shot. I have done nothing to the bike yet but give it a wash.
Could be a great bike to restore or just ride as is.
$350.00 cash takes it"

Aluminium/Columbus/531 frames in Toronto - $120 each

This guy has a Gitane TDF, a Viner Pro, a raleigh Comp GS, a Jeunet Pro all at $120, and a Trek 1500 at $100. Also a tasteful Raleigh Twenty at $200. Prices one would assume are CDN$.

Bottle-type generator. You can find 'em on either side or on either fork blade, depending on the brand of generator and the builder.

Eddy Merckx 55cm Road Bike - $700 (Georgetown)

That’s a 1985 Professional. I have one with C record group - first time I’ve seen one besides my own. That’s Kelme team colors from ‘85 BTW. That would be a good pickup for a local, especially if you can get the price down a little. Only concern I would have is how the 753 steel handled having a 10 speed wheel jammed in the rear dropouts.

The 2 or 3 deals on the Norfolk CL a couple of weeks ago ended up flipped onto the Richmond CL. I live in the Richmond area. I could facilitate if need be.

Over priced by about $400...
https://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/bi...196408022.html

Scapin w/ Campagnolo hardware - $1,000 (Cape Cod)

Incredibly Rare collectors
Bicycle.
Built by world reknown
Italian Bike builder Umberto Scapin.

If you are not familiar
With these collector bikes,
I would suggest looking them up. Highly sought after and incredibly rare.
Especially this era model.

The Frames alone sell
For $750-900
On ebay.
They usually only pop
Up for Sale once a year.

The bike has full,
Campagnolo Victory
Hardware including hubs.
