Can anyone identify this Campagnolo Groupset?

These are the components on an older Campagnolo-equipped Trek a friend has. I'm trying to identify the groupset and possibly the vintage, but am not having much luck. I can't find a brakeset that looks like this. The closest is the Mirage line, but the only photos i've found of the Mirage line suggest they have a ridge down the face of each side of the caliper. Otherwise, it's pretty close. Any help appreciated! Even better if you can provide a link to some corroborating evidence.

Veloce 8 speed era

https://www.velobase.com/ViewGroup.as...d-ee32288c0688 (Incomplete and spans a couple of generations.)

Not sure about the headset though, maybe an early version of the Veloce? Looks a bit like a Euclid or Centaur.

It was towards the bottom of Campy's hierarchy and didn't have the polished finish of Record or Chorus, but performance-wise it was a fairly good groupset.

In a perfect world, Identify this Campy Groupset is a Jeopardy category and so is Silver Jews Songs.

Interesting, as it does seem to have indexed brifters... I thought that's something that might only appear on higher-end kit. Thanks for the additional info!

Are you sure it is a Trek? It looks like Kona Kapu to me.

Erzulis is correct, that is a mid 90's Kona Kapu that came with Campagnolo. I have had two pass through my shop, both very nice. One a '95 IIRC with a very nice frame and either a '97 or '98 with a super nice Reynolds 853 frame.

You're right! Sorry, brain fart. Wrote Trek when I meant Kona.
