Rockshox Canti Stud
I've just purchased a new Rockshox Recon Silver TK (2017?) fork. The cantilever studs are not inline with the brake bosses that they thread into. They point down about 10º from the bosses. Before I email the seller or manufacturer, is this normal, or have the threads in the bosses been tapped wrongly or have the studs been cross threaded? Both studs point down about the same degree. I've not tried to install the v-brakes yet or tried to unscrew the studs. All other brake posts I've looked at are straight, and at 90º to the fork.

Doesn't sound normal to me. I would include some clear. well-lit photos with your e-mail, ideally with a square or end of a rule showing the non-perpendicularity. Maybe they are rejects which have found their way onto the market.

I've noticed that the brake bosses seem to be cut at 10º, so the studs screw in flush to the bosses. I took some photos but not allowed to upload them yet!

.. just to say that the forks fitted ok, and the v-brakes look parallel to the fork bridge rather than the forks themselves. If the studs had been at 90º to the forks, the brakes would have been very close to the bridge.
