Shimano TL-FC33 44mm 16-notch tool to remove Sram GXP BB?

Dr. Google isn't giving me a definitive answer so I thought I'd try tapping into the collective wisdom of bikeforums. Does the Shimano TL-FC33 44mm 16-notch BB adapter tool fit/work correctly to remove a Sram GXP BB? I think the specs are basically the same (44mm & 16-notch) but the Shimano sec is not quite as deep. I know I can use a ParkTool BBT69.2 but it has a 3/8 inch socket and I'd prefer a tool with a 1/2 inch socket to match my torque wrench. The Shimano tool has a 1/2 inch socket.

Use a 1/2" to 3/8" drive adapter? An in-line adapter will not change the torque setting.

I'd prefer to avoid buying more stuff if I can avoid it. That, and the Shimano tool is cheaper.

Edit: problem solved. This (link below) will do the trick and its even cheaper than the Shimano tool.
