Wow. This certainly is not the extreme view I was thinking of, but sure maybe they aren't.
I am not judging the brand for not having helmets on the models its simply noticable since the overwhelming % of cycling product/gear sites have models wearing helmets.

Some of their jerseys are pretty nice, but I'm not fond of the tall collar on many of them, which makes them a non-starter at these price points.

Some of their models wear helmets, some don't - seems to be pretty consistent, too, which makes me wonder if they leave it up to the model.

Ha, well ignore my earlier comments. Even the bearded dude has a helmet in a different pic.
It just happened that the products talked about most here, the 3/4 sleeve and flannel, have pics of no helmet cyclists.
Thsts what I get for not looking further.

There is a lot of discussion around this being a French company, and how critiques need to take this into account. You know, the French are not helmet Nazis, and the French like to be fashionable.....
Interesting, I never see this cultural sensitivity brought to bear when discussing products and marketing from companies from China or other Asian countries.

I think they meed some caps with John Deer or Stihl logos on them to go with the faux flannels.

No, what is really "reaching" is explaining away a line of clothing with is simultaneous
a) unoriginal (copied out of a Brooklyn Hiptser catalogue)
b) out of context (if there even IS a "gravel" style, 3/4 tees, Rayban Wayfarers, and no helmet is definitely NOT it), and
3) extraordinarily expensive
With the rational "But..... it's FRENCH!"

As far as your above "points" -
a) can you point to a clothing line that is "original," ie doesn't take design cues from anything previous?
b) you know it when you see it, eh?
c) this has been covered before - you're wrong on this. There are plenty of other manufacturers playing in the same price points, inside and outside of cycling.
