Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have no complaints with the C7s or the SS yellows. I do hear the new Zipp pads are supposed to be good. Only thing is, make sure you keep the pivot pin on the C7s well lubed or it may start to stick. I think I may buy those Zipp bars for my Cervelo for Christmas. I haven't shown her any love lately, and she is deserving of some upgrades to help her with her weight loss goals.

But wait, wouldn't that make them a rebadged chevy or ford?

It's ok, you guys are gonna see it the way you want to see it . . . I give, you win.

Just because there's some overlap in parts doesn't mean it's rebadged. Now if the overlap in parts approached the 50% mark then I'd start wondering about rebadging. But who really knows that other than the OEM engineers and auto parts experts.
People did that for real? Wow!

I had a factory stock 1986 Nova with a Toyota powerplant, the car was a rebadged Toyota Corolla. The engine was a 4A-C.

Body panels were different from Corollas. And it had a Delco radio in it, also different from the Corolla.

the 4.0 motors are nice, good torque. the Y-pipe and cat converters have always been the Achilles heel of the jeep though....that and the dana 44's

This one has the 2.4L 5-spd (168 ft-lbs of torque) not as much power as the 4.0, but it's fine for our purposes and it weighs a couple of hundred pounds less than the X or higher models. No amenities in this Jeep - not even carpet or a back seat.

Benson has plenty of teeth, but she's not too interested in biting since she stopped teething.

I can tell you that I'm confident my new Agile (made in South Korea) knock-off Les Paul style guitar isn't a re-badged Gibson. Another way you can tell is it cost $420, not $4000.

I fail to see him ever win at anything. Pcad just defends his delusional ideas until the bitter end, and then eventually we move on to something else. There really never is any win/loose going on. It's a good thing this is BF, and not an automotive forum. On say honda-tech.com, people would flame him till no end if he tried to defend his delusion that Lexus, and Acura design, and build their own cars. The fact that Honda R&D raced an "Acura" TL this year in the NASA "Honda" Challenge Series should say something. I watched their idiot driver stuff it into the wall at Mid-Ohio, and catch fire this September. I don't understand why Honda R&D would race an Acura if they were different companies???

It's the parent company, SA. That does NOT mean Acuras are rebadged Hondas.

Dammit, whatever happened to that note to self to drop it?

He may only know a "little bit about everything" but he is still one of the most knowledgable and respected (believe it or not) members of this forum. Sad isn't it? In my opinion the five most knowledgable people on this forum (one is banned) would have to be pcad, botto, carpediem, event services and pete. Like them or hate them, they know what they are talking about.
