Hello from Rhode Island
Hello from Rhode Island I’m a just getting back into riding. I’ve always rode vintage steel bikes and am looking for a new bike. I will post my questions in another thread.

Hi! I'm in Providence and I love steel bikes, new and old. If you ever need some folks to go riding with, just let me know! My friends and I log a lot of miles but are absolutely not racey types so the pace tends to be pretty chill.

Hey folks thanks for the welcome! I ended up picking up a sweet 1975 Motobécane Gran Jubileé! So far I love it I’ll definitely have to take some pictures soon!

I'm down in Bristol at the end of the East Bay Bike Path. Let me know if you are down this way. Here in town I highly recommend Alains Irish Pub.

That looks like a cool path, how is it? I've ridden the one from Coventry to Cranston and back (Washington Secondary Trail), any others in RI?

I've several ridden the Blackstone River Trail just north of Providence. It is short at only 9 miles long but a pretty ride directly along that river. Currently that trail ends at Wooster but there are plans to extend it to Fitchburg in Massachusetts. There are also plans to connect the East Bay Bike Path to he Cape Cod Rail Trail. No one knows when that will happen but if and when it does that will be about 150 miles of bike paths.
From Bristol I have easy access to the many country roads east of the Saconnett River all the way to North Dartmouth and New Bedford. That area is full of those roads. I especially like having lunch or a break at the beaches overlooking Buzzards Bay. There are many other similar areas making it possible to put together a ride of a century or two centuries. The Narragansett Bay Wheelmen club website has maps of everywhere the club has rides. Narragansett Bay Wheelmen Looking over the map list may provide some ideas for rides.
