I'm 67 and used to ride a lot when I was in my late 30's and early 40's. When my beloved Masi was stolen in 2003 I pretty much quit riding altogether... until last weekend. I got myself a used CF road bike and I'm back in the game! I retired two years ago, and I live in a wonderful area for road riding. I'm REALLY anxious to drop 10 pounds and get back to my old riding weight. My goal is to ride from home to the top of a nearby mountain pass (27 miles, 2500 ft. elevation gain) and back, before summer is over.

I'm 64 and riding again
I'm 64 and started riding again two months ago after 25 years off the bike. Recovery after a bad accident (broken ankle, hip and elbow) helped me decide to get some level of fitness back. Luckily, I still have my Eddy Merckx road bike I raced on years ago. I serviced it and it's as good as it always was. Me, not as much!
Anyway, it's been great rediscovering how much I loved (and still do) cycling.

I am 64 and still alive! Managing to ride with heart issues. Hope to do 2500 mi this year, but would settle for 2000 (In better days 3000). Do 32 mi commutes a few times a week,

I'm 63 and riding 125+ miles per week now and stonger than ever. I'm up to 2000 miles and the high season is still going. I have at least 2 centuries to ride this summer, and I don't know what else I'll do. I'm also 35 pounds lighter at this point and have what most people would recognize as a cyclist's body, big legs but otherwise skinny. I can beat most of the hipsters on my commuter bike but serious roadies can still beat me, but only some. I have (had?) high blood pressure, I need to check again. It was down 5-10 points the last time I checked about 3 months ago.
I commute by bike now that the weather is better on my commuter bike, and ride my road bike as much as I can otherwise. I've never felt so good.

I'm 63 and the only thing keeping me from riding more is the time I spend in yoga classes - at the local senior center. That really helps. Makes it much easier to put my socks on in the morning, trim my toe nails, and sleep on the ground in a tent, just to name a few of the payoffs. Any soreness I had in the back is gone, too.
I still get out on the single track mountain bike trails, but I take it easy and I don't go in the warm weather. We don't have a lot of Lyme Disease around here but I don't want to take any chances.

Speaking of not being able to stand up straight after sitting. We just bought a new memory foam mattress and my hips no longer hurt. I can stand up straight from the get go.
I'm 55. 3,151 miles so far this year.

I'll be 63 in about a month, and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. Or of slowing down. Which bike I ride on OHR will probably depend on the weather - unless it's hot and sunny, the lowracer gets the nod:
I've been riding, about 10 times since last posting. I'm up to a decently comfortable 45 miles and will try 50 on Wednesday morning. No significant pain in my wrist, which still has occasional pain due to build up of scar tissue. It's a little odd - my heart rate at speed seems to be lower, but my power (at least speed and climbing) seems to be a little better than it was three years ago, when I last ride with significant volume.
So on the doorstep of 65 years old, I feel very good riding. It feels as good as it did when I was 19, but I don't have that feeling that when I finished a 60 mile ride home from a rudimentary S24O, I wanted to go out for another 30 miles or so.

And if you rack up enough miles I have heard that you actually start to get younger!

I still ride, but since I no longer commute to work, the number of miles ridden has dropped, leaving me more time and energy for my hobbies.........and honey dos....

I'm still a fifty-something (fifty-thirteen in May). Waiting for SS and Medicare to kick in. (Year and a half?) Done well with savings.
Currently commuting about 9 mi per day- not nearly enough with an hour train ride in the middle.
GAWD I can't wait. Been riding most of my life and these are really low mileage times. 😠
Goals on retirement: a new fatty rando bike (my AHH seems overbuilt); yearly rando series to 600km; and a tour from western MT to TX Hill Country.
Cheers!
PS, one inspiration was the 70-something I met skiing at Bridger Bowl. It wasn't just his age so much as he was 3 months out of hip surgery! Yeah, getting old doesn't mean stop.

Got my 68th birthday ride in on Tuesday but disappointed with 169 miles. Following a wicked afternoon thunderstorm and GI issues from the git-go I called it quits after getting sopped.

I'll be 66 in three months. I've finally found the lady I've been looking for all my life -- she's a cyclist, too. We're training up for road touring. Our regular loop is 35 miles three times per week, but we've done 46 miles once. Also, I'm trying to bring her over to the "dark side" of off-pavement riding, bikepacking tandem style. Now, if I could just get her to quit working, we could really get into touring shape. Life is damn good right now, and it looks like it's going to get better from here on out.

71, no car for 20 years, ride atleast 90 miles a week.
BP 105/55, RP around 56bpm. Need to drop 15# more.
I'm not fast but have decent endurance, long grades are tough.
Need to do out of saddle intervals more often.

I'm going to be 64 in a couple of months. Still riding and loving every minute of it. I plan to reduce the hours of my regular job and increase the hours of my riding in the coming years.

Tonight on my lowracer (posted above,) Broke into the top 10 for one of the climbs on the route. I wish recumbents could do hills.

I'm 64 and I just signed up to ride the Markleeville Deathride for the first time in July (130 miles, 15,000 feet of climbing, at altitude). Wish me luck! I've been training for it by riding a hilly century or close to it almost every weekend for the last few months. After I get done with that I'm going to climb Mount Whitney is August. My motto is "you're as young as you feel, and the more I ride the younger I feel".
