Loop-Di-Doo, I Locked Up Some Way New...
The only practical place to lock my bike at a local restaurant was a small tree a little thicker than a human body.
My cable wasn't long enough to go around the tree and through both wheels as I prefer.
So I looped the cable through the front wheel and through the loop at the end of the cable as in this photo of the modified (Saint) Sheldon Brown method.
But I don't carry a U-lock and planned to just loop the cable through the rear wheel and back to itself.
But the cable was just a hair short.
So I ran it through the rear wheel (and frame) and locked it to the loop of the brake cable guide that was used before I swithed from cantelevers to V-brakes.
This won't work for every one, but I wanted to share once out helps someone else.
