Oh yeah, he did a fit and LT test for me before coaching too.

He used to yell at me for worrying about my position too much.

After my crash, he rode with me a few times when I got back on the bike and was really really good about helping me get comfortable on the bike again. He used to scream at me when he saw me start to give up and he eased me into descending again because I would ride the brakes.

Him and Dave Hoyle (also CCNS). Really really good guys. I have a lot of respect for them on and off the bike. I've cooked dinner with Dave and another friend a couple of times.

From a cultural perspective my experiences in Galiza, Euskadi, and Catalunya and the people I've known from those regions, it's pretty clear that there's a strong sense of cultural identification with those regions that often trumps the sense of a unified Spain. In the case of Euskadi and Catalunya they've been more active politically (and other means of course) in severing that connection.

After declaring one of our staunch NATO allies who has sent troops to fight by our side on numerous occasions to be a bunch of Islamic terrorists, Rick Perry is dropping out of the Republican Primary.

This is a terrible blow to me personally, as I was greatly looking forward to eating Freedom Ham instead of Turkey on Thanksgiving in the future.

I've been reading "The 4-Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferriss. One of the things it says is to quit paying attention to the news because there are plenty of smart people who can pay attention to it and condense the important stuff for you.

Thanks Ex!

I will miss him, he made me laugh so many times. I don't like to laugh at people but he made it way too easy.

Thanks Ex!
RacerEx reporting the news would make John Stewart look like Red Skelton. It would be the most popular news show on television.

And in my experience such villages really enjoy American High School football.

In 2000 I emailed friends of mine in Texas congratulating them on getting rid of their governor.

The DNC is coming to Charlotte. My work leads me to have some exposure to it because we power it, and there's special stuff we have to do. The people I work with were all talking about how funny it would be if the power went off during Obama's speech, etc, etc. So hard to be the only democrat in an office full of republicans, and I can never really say anything about it, since I'm low. The entire company is all republican, except for some reason we donated millions of dollars to get the DNC here. Go figure.
