Specialized Sequoia 1985

I'm moving to another continent and probably have to sell this beauty. I'm in the Bay Area.

So I bought the bike for cheap on the east coast, but I put a lot of work and new parts on it. Size 58. New drivetrain, Suntour bar con shifters, Tektro dual pivot brakes, Shimano 105 r/d, new wheels Mavic Open Sports with 105 hubs (the rear wheel made by Hands on Wheels, he makes wheels for Rivendell), a Selle Anatomica leather saddle, new handlebar, Dia Compe Gran Compe brake levers (non-aero, bought for Eroica). I could include the original Shimano 600 down tube shifters and Brakes, deore r/d and original brake levers (don't have the original handlebar or pedals). Oh and the original, still working Zefal frame pump.

This bike rode Eroica California and was the perfect bike for the course, with super low gearing and room for700x32 tires ( Specialized Roubaix tires). I hate to sell it and if I charged what it means to me sentimentally, I doubt anyone would buy it! Thoughts? Thanks! Photos at links:

+1 I think that's around a $400 bike as it sits.

You should be asking GTizzy, why so high? Maybe he wants free shipping to Shanghai?

OK, but do you actually think it's worth more like $400? And why? I'd just give to a friend in that case.

Maybe GTizzy is offering that amount because of shipping.

I would think it's around $500-600 in the OP's location. It's a very nice bike but a none original some what custom build which will limit value some.

I sold a 1984 Sequoia (if I remember correct) with 350$. And after let's say one month of posting.
The bike had Suntour Superbe group.
In my area, it is hard to sell your bike for 400.
And I think the frame is too big for GTizzy.
