Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In the absence of his wingman, @rjones28 is in second place, 100 posts back. Sad!

From time-to-time a tubeless set up doesn't take on the first try. I redid one on Saturday.

Specialized tyres??? Ahem, that's 2bliss, not tubeless.

SPOILER ALERT: If you cannot countenance fast food of the trashiest kind, read no further. But if you have adventure in your soul, be aware that for a limited time McDonald’s is offering a Stroopwaffel Macflurrie. Jus’ sayin’.

Non-cycling content question:

My lawn tractor motor is on its way out, I fear. It's 18 years old and I have done so-so maintenance (change oil every 2 years not every year), the last few times I have used it, it sounds lounder/scraping type engine noise and it's burning oil about 1/2 quart per hour of use, with some blue smoke coming out, and a modest but notable decrease in power.

I really don't want to sink much $$ into the thing as it's been quite reliable and 18 years old, but I am wondering if I can get another season out of it if I put some type of additive in, like Seafoam to clean up whatever is gunked up in there. I figure I have little to lose if it's about to die anyway.

Thoughts??

+1

Losing all the air is not normal. I suspect the valve is over-tightened onto the rim, or the valve internals aren't sealing.

I stood in front of a package of stroopwaffles while in the USA. The first I'd ever seen. I didn't take the bait.

I love me some stroopwafels. One of my clubmates is Dutch and brought some for us awhile back from Holland. They are good.

I hope no one objects to my dropping a Slade video into the "We Are All Crazy" thread. It was too much of a temptation for me.
