Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

please post pics of conversions

I have an old Trek 300 that I would like to convert to a cyclocross bike, I'm looking for ideas (other than go buy a cross frame). Would you guys post pics of some of the conversions you've done? Thanks a bunch!

This is a frame set that I found during my last curbside pickup. It's not race worthy, but it does ride quite nicely with the new wheels. It was a 27" wheel bike. https://velospace.org/node/1013

My friend wanted to try cross on the cheap. We found this 27" wheel Fuji bike and converted it into a cross bike. He loves it and is completely hooked on trail riding using tall skinny tires and drop bars. He has never ever owned a road bike too! You can see the before and after pictures.

Thanks, she is a blast to ride. I recently got a 8 speed sti shifter for it so she may have gears in a few weeks. Single front 8 or 7 in the back.
