Ksyrium Elites for racing
Hey all,
Have any of you raced on Ksyrium Elites? I'm wondering how they hold up to the abuse. There's a great deal on an NOS ('05 or '06) set at a shop near me and was thinking of replacing my Open Pro/Ultegra wheels for this season.
Thx.

They work just fine. They can handle quite a bit of abuse too. One season will equal about 15~20 races if you are racing a lot, so it's not alot of mileage. My Elites have 2 seasons on them and show no problems. Go for it.
Unless you are thinking you might want tubulars in the future.

Isn't it something similar to that that Jonathan Page rolled on?

Page was most likely rolling on Ksyrium SL tubulars if they were in fact ksyriums. Unless they are a really awesome deal and you'll use them for road riding too, I wouldn't drop 500+ into a set of clinchers if I was only going to race cross on them.
