Lezyne GPS without using a smartphone?

Quick question regarding the Lezyne GPS (Super GPS). Wondering how much can I use this without a smartphone. I know I can use the GPS to record the ride and then download to Strava by using the computer. But is it possible to upload a route to the GPS without using a smartphone? Currently my phone is so old that I cannot install the Ally V2 app.

after playing around with it a bit and searching on Lezyne's support site, it doesn't look like it You create/upload the route to their portal (https://lezyne.com/gpsroot) and then it syncs with the Ally app and then transfers to the GPS unit. There's a comment on their support site that the step to the phone is necessary because it optimizes the file for storage on the device: DESIGN YOUR DESTINATION WITH LEZYNE NAVIGATION - Lezyne Blog

Thanks for finding that. As I suspected, this is a no go. Hoping to be updating the phone and then I should be able to install the app.
thanks again.

PS Nice username 'superdex'. Are you a biochemist?
